  7. like MS WORD6. It seems like Word6 *alone* needs minimum 8Mb to be OK. This is
  8. independent if You run it on Mac, OS/2, Win95, NT etc. Running several smaller
  9. apps (smaller than MS office products) was OK in 8Mb NT without the WoW layer.

  11. Even if it wasn't fastest machine in the world, it still was so stable and had
  12. OK performance that I runned NT like that for half a year without any significant
  13. problems. If You only have 8Mb, don't run several moster apps at the same time,
  14. and are tired of Win95's poor multitasking and stability I can only recommend
  15. you to try it out for yourself. If anyone needd any more tweaking tips or other
  16. type of optimations of NT in 8Mb, I will be glad to help people doing so.

  29. It depends on your hardware congfig, I have seen many 16Mb machines with NT who
  30. is equal in performance with OS/2 and Win95. I suggest You to read the chapters
  31. about optimistaion in the NT 3.51 resource kit if your having some performance
  32. problems with your setup.
